I'm parting out a 1973 Canadian Edition 1600DP Swing-Axle Standard Bug
Don't have the time to continue this project. If you're interested in anything listed below please contact me by email: christopherlawrence@gmail.com or by phone: (905) 424-8310
Details:
Running 1600cc DP engine with good compression on all 4 (not restored)
Fully restored pan (sand blasted, primed, painted, undercoated, new pan halves welded in) w/ stainless steel fuel line routed through the tunnel, new shift linkage, much more...
Swing-Axle Tranny in great shape except for broken spot-weld on driver-side retainer cup. (Mounted to pan)
-Axle tubes blasted/primed/painted
-New CV boots.
Brake backing plates also sandblasted, primed painted, brakes re-assembled with rebuild kits
Beam repaired with weld-in reinforcements on the shock towers - sanded, anti-rust primer, painted
4 new KYB gas shocks installed on pan
Original rims/tires that came with the car when purchased (old and rusty)
Many new replacement sheet metal panels for body:
-front firewall
-angle flanges under rear seat to bolt onto pan.
-heater channels (danish)
-lower A-pillar/door hinge sections
-Rear quarter patch panels
The body needs a lot of work but has welded in braces so it is straight and the core is solid. Needs the bottom sheet metal all the way around.
Complete dash pad w/o radio cut-out.
Fenders, hood, decklid (great condition) etc...
Glass is all there except front windshield which cracked on removal
Rear curved window is still installed.
Driver/Passenger bucket seats and rear bench in original blue cloth. The bench has a small tear in it.
Other new parts:
-Bolt and seal kit for body->pan mounting
-various engine seals and pieces
-weld on bracket for throttle pedal (if not doing the roller pedal thing)
-brake sense switches
Other used spares:
-Clutch/Brake Pedal assembly
-master cylinder
Come take a look, take what you want!!!
Take the complete rolling pan for $800....
